Sequence 217 — Purview data products

Context: Career Data Governance Platform Specialization | Career Platform
Source: CDMP Master Execution Manual

When / purpose

Connect governed assets, business use and accountability through the data-product concept.

What you should learn

  • A data product packages governed data for a defined use.
  • Products need ownership, quality/context and consumer value.
  • A data product is not merely a table or dashboard.

Do this in order

  1. Choose one Meridian business use case or KPI.
  2. Identify the data assets, definitions, owners/stewards and quality expectations required for it.
  3. Describe the candidate product and its consumers.
  4. State what evidence would make it trustworthy.

Meridian application

Reuse the Meridian KPI/data-product candidate already built in prior chapters.

Create / save

Meridian data-product concept sheet.

Stop / boundary

Stay at governance design depth; do not turn the exercise into Fabric product engineering.

Completion gate

You can explain why the candidate is a governed product rather than a loose collection of assets.
