01 — Guided Learning

Chapter 10 carries 10% of the Fundamentals exam, so treat it as a major domain. The goal is not to memorize that “customer is Master Data” and “country code is Reference Data.” You need to recognize what problem the stem is actually describing, choose the correct authority or architecture concept, and understand the consequences of an identity decision.

Learning route

  1. Shared context and the four data types
  2. Reference Data: structures, sources, and controlled change
  3. Master Data: authority, Trusted Sources, and Golden Records
  4. The MDM processing spine
  5. Entity resolution, matching, and reversibility
  6. Identifiers, relationships, and Master Data domains
  7. Registry, Transaction Hub, and Consolidated architecture
  8. MDM/RDM activities, requirements, and roadmap
  9. Stewardship, sharing, Reference change, and culture
  10. Governance, metrics, and exam decision rules

Study rule

Read for deciding clues. After each lesson, explain one fact that would change the correct answer to a neighboring concept.
