When / purpose

Use DBeaver to inspect objects and run SQL without replacing SQL reasoning with clicks.

What you should learn

  • Connections and navigator.
  • Object properties/metadata.
  • SQL editor.
  • Result grids and DDL viewing.
  • ERD support.

What to read / study

Do this in order

  1. Connect to the local Meridian database.
  2. Locate schemas/tables/views.
  3. Inspect columns/keys.
  4. Run and save a SQL script.
  5. Generate/view DDL for one table.

Meridian application

Use Meridian synthetic data and the local lab environment only when the card calls for practice.

Create / save

Workbench evidence.

Stop / boundary

Stop at governance/data-management working depth; do not expand into DBA or engineering specialization.

Completion gate

You can inspect an unfamiliar schema and find its objects/metadata without a click-by-click guide.
