When / purpose
Use one editor consistently without turning editor features into a course.
What you should learn
- Open folder/workspace.
- File tree.
- Integrated terminal.
- Save/run text, SQL and later Python files.

Do this in order
- Open the Meridian project folder in VS Code.
- Create a notes file and a SQL placeholder.
- Open the integrated terminal and confirm its working directory.
- Close and reopen the workspace.
Meridian application
Use Meridian synthetic data and the local lab environment only when the card calls for practice.
Create / save
VS Code workspace screenshot + note.
Stop / boundary
Stop at governance/data-management working depth; do not expand into DBA or engineering specialization.
Completion gate
You can reopen the project and find/edit/run the correct file without hunting.
