Sequence 011 — Chapter 1 source gate and orientation
Stage: Source Gate
Source: CDMP Master Execution Manual — Chapter 1
When / purpose
Enter Chapter 1 with the correct source and applied objective before reading secondary artifacts.
What you should learn
- The full Chapter 1 DMBOK PDF controls DAMA-specific meaning.
- 00A mastery artifacts support learning but do not replace the controlling source.
- Chapter 1 should be approached as the foundation for later DMBOK knowledge areas.
Do this in order
- Open the controlling Chapter 1 DMBOK source.
- Confirm you are using the program’s Chapter 1 source before opening derivative study artifacts.
- Scan the chapter structure and identify what Chapter 1 appears to establish for the rest of the DMBOK.
- Review the Chapter 1 study-package map so you know which mastery artifacts will follow the source reading.
- Record the source location, the chapter’s apparent purpose, and any questions you expect the source to answer.
Evidence of completion
- Correct Chapter 1 source identified and opened.
- Short orientation note saved.
- You can state the chapter source, intended learning route, and what remains to be learned from the source.
Completion gate
Do not advance until the authoritative Chapter 1 source is clear and you can explain why derivative guides cannot override it.
