Chapter 1 Evidence Checklist

Use this checklist during 00C Sequences 021–022 and the Chapter 1 applied-deepening work that follows. The Chapter 1 applied work is complete only when these outputs exist and you can explain them.

  • [ ] CH01-A — Meridian Data Asset Inventory
    At least six assets/domains; business process, systems, consumers, value, risk, Metadata/context, criticality.

  • [ ] CH01-B — Value & Risk Assessment
    Qualitative H/M/L ratings with reasons; explicitly a Meridian training method, not a DAMA valuation formula.

  • [ ] CH01-C — Lifecycle Management Map
    Customer + another asset across lifecycle stages with Data Quality, Metadata, or risk responsibilities.

  • [ ] CH01-D — Business/Data Requirements Before Technology
    Requirements written before tools for MCG-002, MCG-004, MCG-006, and MCG-009.

  • [ ] CH01-E — Data Management Charter, Scope & Roadmap
    Three distinct artifacts: mandate/intent, planning boundaries/accountability, implementation priorities/milestones.

  • [ ] CH01-F — Knowledge Area Map & DMBOK Debrief
    Lead/supporting Knowledge Areas for selected Meridian conditions with reasoning.

  • [ ] CH01-G — Acquisition Change-Fact Revision
    Reprioritized response to the acquired retailer, including top two funded initiatives, deferred work, leadership decision, next evidence, and postponed technology decision.

Independence gate

  • [ ] Rebuilt the core reasoning from a blank page without copying templates.
  • [ ] Completed the eight closed-book debrief questions.
  • [ ] Checked answers against the reconstruction key only after attempting them.
  • [ ] Recorded any actual misconception for later Error Repair; did not invent generic errors.
  • [ ] Updated the live Master Tracker after evidence was explainable.
