Chapter 15 Targeted Repair Protocol
Use this only after a real attempt. Do not pre-create Artifact 08 guesses.
The 5-step source protocol
- Mark every blank, wrong, or slow response.
- Classify the miss as one of: knowledge gap; vocabulary/confusion pair; level distinction; lifecycle stage; role/governance; evidence/scoring; scope/readiness; missed qualifier; poor elimination; source-lookup failure.
- Return to the exact source section and the matching Guided Learning lesson.
- Re-answer without looking.
- Schedule the missed concept for spaced mixed review. Only recurring real misses become Artifact 08 material.
What a useful repair note records
For each repeated miss, capture: - question/drill ID; - what you answered; - confidence; - the deciding clue you missed; - nearest confusion pair; - DMBOK page; - one corrected rule in your own words; - one changed-fact version that would switch the answer; - date to retest.
Chapter-specific miss families
Chapter 15 mistakes often cluster around: - L1/L2/L3/L4/L5 boundary recognition; - maturity level vs criterion score; - assessment vs improvement; - current state vs target state; - low score vs high-priority gap; - framework vs DMBOK use; - local vs enterprise scope; - participant opinion vs evidence; - report vs executive briefing; - interpretation vs roadmap; - readiness risk vs maturity finding; - rating snapshot vs rate of change; - reassessment comparability.
Mastery standard
You are ready when you can teach Chapter 15 as one coherent cycle:
why assess → how maturity progresses → how evidence creates a current state → how business need creates a target → how the roadmap changes capability → how governance/metrics/reassessment prove progress.
