3-Minute Explain-and-Rebuild Drills
- T1 — DG scope wheel: rebuild the eight common DG scope areas around the central definition.
- T2 — Organization layers: Steering → DGC → DGO → Stewardship/Local. Add one responsibility per layer.
- T3 — Operating models: draw Centralized, Replicated and Federated and write the deciding clue under each.
- T4 — Steward role ladder: Chief, Executive, Enterprise, Business, Owner, Technical, Coordinating. State the responsibility clue for each.
- T5 — Control artifacts: rebuild Principle → Policy → Standard → Procedure with one Customer-data example.
- T6 — Readiness: four boxes — maturity, change capacity, collaboration, business alignment.
- T7 — Strategy package: Charter, Operating Framework, Roadmap, Operational Success.
- T8 — Escalation: Stewardship/Local → DGC → Steering; add Figure 20 illustrative proportions and explain their meaning.
- T9 — 17 activities: list in rough order and group into define/assess/design/change/control/implement/embed buckets. Label your grouping a study aid, not DAMA taxonomy.
- T10 — Tool boundary: Governance behaviors on one side, five supporting tool categories on the other.
- T11 — Cross-KA coordination: explain how DG coordinates with Architecture, DQ, Metadata, Security, PMO/SDLC and compliance without replacing those functions.
- T12 — Sustainability: teach why culture/change management affects sustainable governance.
Success standard
A strong rebuild explains relationships, not only labels. You should be able to state why an arrow exists, what would happen if a layer were missing and what clue distinguishes each neighboring concept.
