Sequence 249 — Meridian applied-lab plan and prediction

Context: Chapter 14 - Big Data and Data Science | Applied Lab
Source: CDMP Master Execution Manual

When / purpose

Enter the Chapter 14 lab with a business hypothesis before tools/templates.

What to read / study

  • MUST: Chapter 14 Applied Lab folder — final lab must be source-checked; if missing, stop and have it built from the chapter source.
  • MUST: Meridian Casebook — only scenario/system/domain sections used by the lab.
  • REFERENCE: Technology Roadmap — required medium: DuckDB + Python/pandas, concise by design; do not exceed chapter-triggered depth.

Do this in order

  1. Read the lab business situation and expected evidence.
  2. Write a prediction.
  3. List exact inputs.
  4. Confirm raw inputs stay unchanged.
  5. Identify which DMBOK concept each step makes visible.

Meridian application

Generate a larger click/event dataset in JSON/Parquet; query with DuckDB/Python; compare management characteristics with relational transactional data; focus on recognition/governance implications, not ML training.

Create / save

Lab prediction + input/evidence checklist.

Stop / boundary

If the lab guide is missing, preserve the stop gate; migration does not build it.

Completion gate

You can explain what you are about to do, why it matters and what result would change your conclusion.
