Sequence 209 — Chapter 12 DMBOK debrief, error repair and spaced revisit
Context: Chapter 12 - Metadata Management | Completion / Repair
Source: CDMP Master Execution Manual
When / purpose
Close Chapter 12 by translating experience back into DMBOK language and letting real mistakes drive the next review.
What you should learn
- Applied experience must return to the source vocabulary.
- Error Repair is based only on actual misses.
- A completed chapter still needs spaced retrieval later.
- Carry-forward Meridian artifacts remain available to later chapters.
What to read / study
- MUST: Chapter 12 source + results — use source, question misses and lab evidence together; do not manufacture errors.
- MUST: Master Tracker — record completion/evidence and schedule revisit; do not mark mastered solely because files exist.
Do this in order
- Write what the lab demonstrated in DMBOK terminology.
- List actual errors from question bank, scenario, teach-back or lab.
- Create/update 08 Error Repair only if genuine misses exist.
- Schedule a spaced revisit.
- Record which outputs later chapters may reuse.
Meridian application
Carry forward rather than resetting the company: Glossary; data dictionary; catalog register; lineage maps.
Create / save
DMBOK debrief + real Error Repair entries + revisit date.
Stop / boundary
Stay inside the current source/skill boundary. Do not pre-learn later chapters or engineering depth.
Completion gate
You can explain the chapter and lab independently, and any remaining weakness has a specific repair action.
