Sequence 200 — Guided Learning Guide - second half and synthesis

Context: Chapter 12 - Metadata Management | Guided Learning
Source: CDMP Master Execution Manual

When / purpose

Finish the chapter teaching pass and connect the parts into one mental model.

What you should learn

  • Later concepts should connect back to earlier ones.
  • Distinctions matter more than isolated definitions.
  • Examples should be explainable in both plain language and DMBOK terminology.
  • You should know which questions remain open before exam work.

What to read / study

  • MUST: 01 Guided Learning Guide - Chapter 12 — must exist before this card is worked; if missing, stop and have it built from the full chapter PDF under 00A rules. Complete remaining concept clusters. Do not start memorizing answer choices yet.
  • MUST: DMBOK Chapter 12 source PDF — resolve same-source questions; do not silently add outside frameworks.

Do this in order

  1. Complete the remaining guided sections.
  2. Create a one-page mental model connecting the major ideas.
  3. List 3–7 distinctions you think could be confused on an exam.
  4. Answer every teaching question.
  5. Return to the source for any disputed wording.

Meridian application

Identify which part of the chapter most directly supports the planned Meridian mode: Catalog / define / trace.

Create / save

Chapter mental model + confusion-pair list.

Stop / boundary

If the required guide is missing, stop at this learner gate. The 00C migration does not create it.

Completion gate

You can explain the full chapter in a coherent story and identify the main confusion areas.
