When / purpose
Close the second technology gate before Chapter 8 integration work.
What you should learn
- Python/pandas + files + PostgreSQL work together.
- Raw data is preserved.
- Git/evidence capture remains active.
- No production orchestration is required.
Resources / limits

Do this in order
- From a clean working copy, read CSV and JSON, profile them, merge/standardize a small subset, write a staging output/database table, validate counts and commit the work.
- Explain every transformation in business/data terms.
Meridian application
Use Meridian synthetic files and database only for bounded practice.
Create / save
Gate B evidence packet + Git commit.
Stop / boundary
Stop before production data engineering, application development, advanced OOP, orchestration or distributed processing.
Completion gate
You can perform the bounded integration workflow independently and explain the data state at each step.
